Enjoy affordable family fun, live music, and arts and crafts this weekend at Harvest Fest in Bensenville Park District at Fischer Farm, 16W680 Grand Ave, Bensenville. The Harvest Festival takes place from Friday to Sunday, September 30 – October. 2.
The event will include food, fun and live music for the whole family! Each day, the festival will occupy a harvest shop, food tent, beer garden, and games in the park. All-day activities include goat feeding, bounce houses, art and craft vendors, pumpkin painting, children’s games, and Subie’s World, presented by the Grand Subaru of Bensenville.
Friday activities start when gates open at 4pm and continue until 8pm
Activities include children’s programs, a Kona ice truck, glow sticks, bonfires, and s’mores, plus other daily activities, and live music from Hat Guys from 5-8 p.m. at the Grand Subaru / 95.9 FM The River Music Stage.
There will be an early admission at 10 a.m. Saturday for pumpkin yoga, presented by Wood Street Fitness, which runs from 10-10:45 a.m. The activity is only $5, and pre-registration is required, with each participant receiving a free pumpkin. Participants may register in person at Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville. Participating in Pumpkin Yoga (with a voucher) provides daily half-price entry to Harvest Fest at the gate.
Gates open to the public 11 a.m. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy extensive NEDSRA activities, goat feeding, hay pyramid, bounce houses (corn maze and jack o’lantern), pumpkin patch with free pumpkins for kids during last supplies , hayrides, petting zoo, kids arts and crafts, Artisan Alley arts and crafts vendors and balloon art. Day activities also include face painting, fire, sable and glow sticks, as well as live music and other family-friendly fun.
Saturday’s live music lineup includes performances from The Noize (11am-1pm), Dan Asio (1-2 and 4-5pm), One Hott Mess (2-4pm) and Run Forrest Run from 5-8pm
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, except for those participating in Wood Street Fitness Pumpkin Yoga from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The activity is only $5, and pre-registration is required, with each participant receiving a free pumpkin and half-price daily entry to Harvest Fest upon presentation of a paid receipt for pumpkin yoga. Starting at 11:30 a.m., attendees can take part in extensive NEDSRA activities, goat feeding, hay pyramid, bounce houses (corn maze and Jack Ollantern), pumpkin patch with free pumpkins for kids while supplies run out, hayrides, zoo petting, arts and crafts For kids, Artisan Alley’s arts and crafts vendors and balloon art. Additional activities on Sundays include balloon art and two animal encounters.
Sunday music shows include Don’t Talk to Strangers from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Birdhead from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. when Harvest Fest is closed.
Tickets are available for $10 at the gate (free for children under two) and $25 for a three-day weekend pass. Parking is free and a free shuttle service will be provided to and from Fischer Farm. Complete information can be found at BvilleParks.org/harvestfest.
