Fantasy Football Week 4 Quarterback Preview: Proving Time for Russell Wilson and Tom Brady

USATSI

Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are all in the top 20 in fantasy points per game Ranked in Add in an injury to Trey Lance and a lack of pass attempts from Justin Fields, and the quarterback position looks much different than we expected a month ago.

In theory, Russell Wilson and Tom Brady should be able to change that this week, but there’s still plenty of room for skepticism on both sides.

Wilson faces the Raiders’ defense, which isn’t particularly good when healthy, and has to start a corner on Rock Ya Sing. The Raiders give up at least 24 points every week and he ranks 26th in passing yards allowed. Still, Wilson’s Broncos are his 2.5-point underdog, and his total points are 21.5. It’s hard to fathom until you remember that he hasn’t scored more than 16 points in a single game this year, even though he’s played against both the Seahawks and Texans. Wilson is high end for me this week he is ranked as QB2 but he would like to start both Marcus Mariota and Jared Goff (assuming Amon La St. Brown plays ).

Brady is somehow even worse than Wilson. They allude to scoring 22 points this week against a Chiefs defense that gave up his 24.3 FPPG to the opposing quarterback. Brady certainly got Mike Evans back, but until he sees a good game, or at least sees Chris Godwin back on the field, I’m not ready to trust him.

Let’s move on to the rest of the preview.
