The Heisman Trophy race continues to change and evolve through Week 5 of the season.
Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud was fine on Saturday, but he wasn’t as dominant as he used to be. Meanwhile, two other contenders, Alabama’s Bryce Young and Oklahoma’s Dillon Gabriel, suffered injuries that brought uncertainty into the season.
This opened the door for other rising stars to join the mix.
See how the leading Heisman contenders fared on Saturday heading into Week 5.
Note: Players are ranked by FOX betting odds entering Week 5.
1. Ohio State QB CJ Stroud +150 (Bet $10 to win a total of $25)
Stroud has been consistently great throughout the season as the Buckeyes overwhelmed their opponents en route to a 5-0 start.
Stroud wasn’t in his best form on Saturday as Rutgers lost 49-10.The junior star went 13-for-22 for 154 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but only for the second time in the season.
Still, if his overall numbers are still good (1,376 yards, 18 touchdowns, and two interceptions), Ohio State continues to look one of the three best teams in the nation.

2. Alabama QB Bryce Young +350 (Bet $10 to win a total of $45)
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner Young left Saturday’s 49-26 win over Arkansas with a shoulder sprain early in the second quarter.
Alabama’s Bryce Young exits game

Alabama Crimson Tide QB Bryce Young ended Saturday’s game against the Arkansas Razorbacks with an injury.
Although the Tide was leading 14–0 at the time, Young was not his usual dynamic self, completing 7 of 13 passes for 173 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
Freshman quarterback Jalen Milroe, from Katy, Texas, went 4-for-9 for 65 yards and scored a touchdown in Young’s absence. Alabama also got a big boost from running back Jarmer Gibbs, who has been on this list in the past.He rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns on just 18 carries.

The sophomore completed 27 of 37 passes for 346 yards and had four total touchdowns as USC pulled away to win 42-25.

T6. Michigan RB Blake Colm +4000 (Bet $10 and win a total of $410)
The Wolverines’ 27-14 victory over Iowa was not the most aesthetically pleasing of a game.
But Corum was his usual dominant self, rushing for 133 yards on 29 carries. His 20-yard touchdown run late in the final quarter chilled the game. Jr. tallied his 611 yards and his 10 touchdowns this season as the Wolverines started his 5-0 run.

trend: Up.
Next: In Indiana on October 8th.
T6. Kansas QBs Adrian Martinez +4000 (Bet $10 to win a total of $410)
A week after making the list for his impressive performance against Oklahoma last week, Martinez was equally impressive against Texas Tech.
The former Nebraska quarterback dominated with both arms and legs, passing for 116 yards and one touchdown, and rushing for another 171 yards and three touchdowns.
Week 4 Rank: Out of rank
trend: Up.
Next: In Iowa on October 8th.
T6: Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel +4000 (Bet $10 and win a total of $410)
Things have been pretty rough for the Sooners in recent weeks. Oklahoma, who lost to Kansas State, had a comfortable 55-24 win over TCU. Gabriel was knocked out in the second quarter by a hard-hitting hit by Hodge who horned his Frogs linebacker, Jamoy, and did not return. Hodge exited for targeting.
Gabriel wasn’t particularly effective up to that point, making only 7 of 16 pass attempts for 126 yards and no touchdowns. He will be evaluated for concussion.

T6: wake forest QBs Sam Hartman +4000 (Bet $10 and win a total of $410)

The junior QB went 22-for-34 for 234 yards and two touchdowns and threw no interceptions.
Wake is currently 4-1, losing to No. 5 Clemson in double overtime.
Week 4 Rank: Out of rank
trend: Up.
Next: versus. Army on October 8th.
10. Alabama LB Will Anderson Jr. +5000 (Bet $10 to win a total of $510)
It’s hard for a defensive player to stand out in a Heisman Trophy race, and Anderson is a prime example. The linebacker’s odds have hit recently, even as he continues to dominate.
Against Arkansas on Saturday, Anderson racked up seven tackles, including a 1.5 tackle loss, and had roughly 0.5 sacks.
Week 4 Rank: T5
trend: under.
Next: versus. Texas A&M on October 8th.
