Incabilia Returns to ValleyCats – The Daily Gazette

Pete Incabilia will return as manager of the Tri-City Valleycats of the Frontier League, the team announced on Tuesday, after selecting his option.

Tri-City vice president and general manager Matt Callahan said in a press release: “He has been a valued member of his ValleyCats organization and we are delighted to have him join our metropolitan community over the past two years.The team has delivered a solid performance in his 2022 is already working to bring home his championship in the Frontier League in 2023.”

Incabiría have a record of 102-86 in their two seasons at the club. He is the third manager in club history to reach 100 wins, after Ed Romero and Greg Langben. The notorious power hitter has led the Tri-City hitters to Frontier with his league-leading 162 homers and his third-best . 288 team batting average in the league.

Incabria said in a press release, “Returning as manager of the Valleycats means a lot.”

Siena Basketball Sneak Preview

The Siena men’s and women’s basketball teams will have a sneak preview on Thursday, October 13 from 5:30-7:00 pm at MVP Arena.

Admission is free and you’ll have the chance to socialize with members of both teams while enjoying complimentary snacks and drinks. Men’s head coach Carmen Macariello and women’s head his coach Jim Jabil address the crowd and provide exclusive insight into both teams’ upcoming seasons.

Fans who have not yet renewed their Season Ticket or wish to purchase a new Season Ticket will be able to do so at the event. UALBANY BASKETBALL SEASON TICKETS ON SALE, PLAY AT HVCC

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2022-23 UAlbany men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Due to the renovation of the SEFCU arena, the Great Danes will play their home games this season at Hudson Valley Community College’s Edward F. McDonagh Sports Complex.

All seats are non-reserved except for floor seat season tickets. Parking is free during the season.

Men’s basketball season tickets are $100 at all locations. Women’s basketball season tickets are $50 for bleachers and $75 courtside.

Freitag of Saratoga Springs honored

Former Saratoga Springs High School cross-country standout Nicole (Brad) Freitag becomes the first woman to be inducted into the Juan Cortland Park Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on October 8th.

Freitag is a three-time winner of the Ed Bowes Girls Eastern State Championships via the Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational.

“If you could choose any course in the country to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, this would be it,” Freitag said in a press release.

Hartwick Football Priest, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Grad, Honored

Hartwick Football’s senior defensive back and graduate of Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School, Neron Priest was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week.

Priest recorded 13 solo tackles, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and a late-game pass interception as the Hawks beat undefeated Nichols College 28-20 last Saturday.

RPI Women’s Tennis Honors

RPI Women’s Tennis freshman Nicky Leidener and sophomore Lorna Flores Gonzalez won the Doubles Team of the Week.

In singles, Leidener advanced to the quarterfinals. Northeast district of Intercollegiate Tennis Association with 3 wins and 1 loss.In doubles with Leidener Flores Gonzalez was the runner-up, 4-1.
