The South Alabama Jaguars are 1-6 against the Louisiana Raging Cajuns since November 2015, but they have a chance to close the gap on Saturday. Louisiana was on a touchdown in the second half to steal the win, but took an ‘L’ 21-17 against Louisiana-Monroe. Louisiana had not lived up to their potential and the odds-makers who thought they had entered the game found themselves short of a 9.5 point advantage. Despite the loss, QB Chandler Fields in his 34 attempts he passed for 1 TD and 231 yards and rushed for 1 TD and 31 yards. Tuck with a 105-yard receive. South Alabama is currently 3-1, and Louisiana is 2-2. A pair of notable defensive stats: The Jaguars picked up the ball five times to enter the matchup, placing him 22nd in the nation.
