NFL Week 3 stats: Chiefs get 'D' in upset loss to Colts, Dolphins get 'A' in Bills upset

It’s not often you see the Kansas City Chiefs implode outright, but that’s exactly what happened when the team suffered a shock 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. There was an offensive implosion, a defensive implosion, and even a special teams implosion that might actually have been the worst implosion.

Offensively, the Colts defense seemed to irritate Patrick Mahomes, who threw for just 84 yards in the first half. His frustration seemed to boil over as Mahomes headed to the locker room at halftime, when the Chiefs quarterback said his offensive coordinator Eric He got into an altercation with Bieniemy. Instead of trying to get into his goal range on the field, Eric Bieniemy decided to run out the clock at the end of the half. kick.

Despite a rough day on the offense, the Chiefs still had chances to take this game into overtime, but those chances fell through the window when Mahomes threw an interception on Kansas City’s final offensive play of the game. I went outside.

The only thing in this game that was uglier than Kansas City’s offensive play was their special teams play. I made it Horrible special teams play began in the first quarter when Skyler Moore muffed a punt that gave the Colts possession at his line in Kansas City four yards.

The Colts scored a touchdown three plays after the Muff Punt to take a 7–0 lead. As if that wasn’t enough, kicker Matt his Amendola missed both the extra point and his goal on the field. The missed field goal came from just 34 yards out.

The Chiefs’ field goal team was also involved in one of the strangest calls of the day. Kansas City were 4-for-11 and the Chiefs had him lined up for a 42-yard field goal, but Amendola was unable to attempt the kick as Andy his lead called for a fake.

Between false field goals, missed field goals, and missed extra points, that’s the 7 points the Chiefs left on the field. The Chiefs’ defense also made a costly mistake. This is explained in the weekly stats below.
