In August, hitmaker Hey Jude shared a photo of himself in another yoga pose alongside his late brother-in-law, who died of cancer.

John, who had known Paul for more than 50 years, was the brother of Linda Eastman McCartney, the first and famous wife of the Beatles legend who died in 1998.

Paul wrote: “My dear brother-in-law John Eastman has passed away. Having known each other for over 50 years, it is a very sad time for me and our families.

The legendary musician admitted that he can sound a little weird but is able to read the newspaper without glasses.

Speaking to Jesse Ware on the Table Manners podcast, Paul said: “I learned some yoga in India. Explain that your eyes are muscles. Your ears are not, so you cannot exercise your ears. But your eyes can.

Explaining some exercises, the Beatles legend likened it to the shape of Union Jack, and continued: “Still head still, then look up as far as you can, one, two, three, back to the middle, then down, back to the middle.

You can do 3 sets and then go left and right. Now you have a cross, up and down, and two sides, now you do the diagonals.

Speaking about how eye yoga helped his vision, Paul added: “It all makes sense. I don’t know if that’s why I don’t need glasses when reading a newspaper.

The musician also revealed that he devised eye yoga instructions for a friend’s daughter that “improved her eyesight” and prevented her from getting glasses for “a few years”.

Which Jesse tried to do with Paul joked: ‘Anyone who looks through the window thinks we’re crazy.’ It’s a séance! It can look a little strange.

This isn’t the first time Paul has praised eye yoga, and in 2009 he said, according to The Mirror: “When I was in India, there was a guy in a hotel who offered to teach me eye yoga exercises.

He told me that the eyes are a muscle like any other and that they need exercise to keep them working properly.

We spend so much time on computers, television, or reading books, that we only use one group of muscles in our eyes. Yoga gives exercise to others.
