Sky announces multi-year extension of broadcast partnership with Formula 1. Sky Sports will remain his exclusive F1 home in the UK and Ireland until 2029, while Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia will retain his exclusive rights until 2027.

Sky Sports will remain the sole home of British and Irish Formula 1 until 2029 after Sky extends its partnership with the sport.
The multi-year extension will cement Sky as the official broadcaster of F1 in all Sky markets, with Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland retaining rights until the end of 2027, making it more exclusive.
As part of our award-winning coverage, all races, qualifying and practice sessions will be broadcast live exclusively on Sky Sports F1, while live home race coverage and all other race highlights are free will be broadcast on
Ultra HD coverage of all races is also available on Sky Q and Sky Glass.

Since first broadcasting Formula 1 ten years ago, Sky Sports has provided viewers with the most extensive coverage of the sport ever seen in the history of television. Earlier this year, Sky Sports and F1 were awarded a BAFTA for his dramatic coverage of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Sky Sports F1 remains the only dedicated channel to broadcast motorsport in each of Sky’s markets, and the station’s best-in-class commentary remains available in over 80 markets. As part of this deal, Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup will also continue to be shown on Sky Sports F1.
Through partnerships, Sky’s platform is helping Formula 1 reach new audiences with its coverage. More women are watching this season than ever before, with a large portion of the Sky market leaning toward younger viewers than the previous season.
2022 season averages 1.7 million viewers, up 60% since UK exclusivity started in 2019, gaining 4.3 million new viewers for Sky Sports F1, already watching We are breaking records.
Meanwhile, four of the five most-watched races in Sky Sports F1 history have taken place this year.
