Do you feel a little refreshing chill in the air? Well, maybe not if you’re in the South, but he’s just about to change the calendar to October. That means college football season is in full swing. noon
Kentucky at Ole Miss (-7)
The Rebels have enjoyed aerial victories in previous seasons under Lane Kiffin, but a tough ground attack is the calling card this year. On the other hand, the opposite is true for Kentucky, who have had some success in the passing game thanks to the arm of Will Levis. The question for the Cats is whether the return of Chris Rodriguez will provide true balance and be good enough for Britain to be legally tough-out in the SEC for the rest of the season.
Michigan (-11) Iowa
Iowa has had serious problems scoring offensive points, but their highly opportunistic defense continues to be a big problem for them, scoring two touchdowns from turnovers against Rutgers last week. . Michigan is very cautious about injuries, but the Wolverines thrash against Iowa (that stout defense has its own injury bug). Nonetheless, Michigan showed they are ready to face a somewhat formidable opponent in last week’s opener.
noon
Oregon in Utah (-10)
The Utes were without their best player Brant Kuthie for the rest of the season, and he was key to an impressive offense that used multiple tight end sets. Bieber has been fine this year and in last week’s turmoil he totally delivered everything USC can handle.
Wake Forest, Florida (-7)
The Knolls are 4-0 and have clicked early in the season to host the Deacons team who delivered an explosive blow against Clemson last week. QB Jordan Travis may need a shot with Sam Hartman. His true evolution as a passer is tested here.
Baylor Oklahoma (-2)
With Kansas State and Kansas both lurking as toughouts this season, this game could go a long way in determining the Big 12 Championship Game. A meaningful rematch of last season’s epic conference title game.
Alabama (-17.5) Arkansas
The Tide will face another test after dominating their opponents in the past two weeks following a close shave with Texas. The Hoggs are looking to upset the Tide last week by beating Texas A&M to take the goalpost. Bama’s toughness will be tested in this match, and they will have to hold up better than they did against Texas up front.
Texas A&M’s Miss St (-4)
That line may surprise you, but think about what the absence of Ainanas Smith means for an A&M team that has struggled so much to produce explosive plays on offense. If it develops into an air raid truck competition, the Aggies may be in big trouble.
Night
Auburn’s LSU (-8.5)
something like everytime happens in this game. If War Eagle is defeated definitively this time around, there could be something lurking in Brian Hershin’s job security (or lack thereof). It will be a big game for Brian Kelly’s early tenure to face division rivals here.
Clemson North Carolina (-6.5)
This Textile Bowl takes revenge on the Tigers for their first college game day in six seasons. This kicks off weeks of ACC play as they attempt to determine a clear leader in the conference title image. DJ Uiagalele said he played well in the win against Wake Forest, but asks him another question Will he be able to play again on the North Carolina front?
