ROCKVILLE, MD, USA, September 30, 2022 / EINPresswire.com/ – Women Palante is proud to announce the launch on Saturday, October 8, 2022, of their second health and personal finance workshop. In this workshop, Women Palante seeks to bridge the gap between the holistic well-being and personal literacy of Latina women.
The focus this year will be on two main themes: 1) mental and physical health, which establishes a foundation for personal self-care while balancing career; and 2) personal finances, education on how to manage bills, expenses, debt and financial emergencies and formulating long-term plans.
“The workshops will teach low-income Latina women how to balance their lives and better handle their money,” explained Jorani Sandoval, CEO and founder of Women Palante.
“Financial health permeates every aspect of our lives, even if these Latina women are just starting out as immigrants, learning how to manage expenses while making long-term plans, are key aspects of success. At the same time, these women will be able to learn about nutrition and healthy habits emotional intelligence and even attending yoga classes.” Sandoval has been added.
Who can apply? Any Spanish speaking woman who wants to find a supportive bilingual community of women who help each other succeed is welcome to apply. “The classes will be held at an introductory level, so there are no prerequisites. Just prepare yourself and the will to learn and improve your life,” Sandoval said.
The workshops will take place over eight days on Saturday afternoons from October to December in Montgomery County, Maryland. Each participant pays a small fee of $105.00. The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) is offering 10 scholarships to vulnerable Latina women in Montgomery County. The main sponsors of the welfare and financial portions of the program are Forbright Bank, Maspanadas and Aetna.

“This is our second edition of this workshop. Last year we had over 150 women in our online version, and this year, the workshops will be in-person and in Spanish. We will have qualified experts, a large group of doctors, a self-esteem coach, and a psychologist , and financial and yoga coaches who will empower and build capacity among vulnerable Latina women.
